Biography (cont) with each layer displaying a different hue and richness. A favorite glaze is oribe, particularly copper green oribe. Oribe is associated with a great tea ceremony master of 16th century Japan. During much of the last decade I've fired my pots in wood-fueled kilns. However, over the last two years I've fired my work exclusively in a gas downdraft kiln.
